Why Rejection?

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:- Jesus Matthew 5:22

Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. - Jesus Matthew 5:23-24

have you ever experienced rejection? How about rejection for no apparent reason? Or maybe you're on the other side of that coin. Have you rejected someone? Or rejected someone without cause or merit? To the one being rejected or ignored or stonewalled, it can be quite hurtful. And the one doing the ignoring could be hurting as well; but it's not doing any good to reject or ignore a person for something they've done if they don't know what they've done. As Christians we are called to be reconciled to one another; and as you can clearly see from the Scriptures above, that lack of love for each other can block your prayers from being answered. Also, it can affect your health, your total prosperity, and even your soul. We ought to be forgiving one another at an astronomical rate. 70 x 7. Holding grudges, or just plain ignoring someone with or without cause is not any good for either party.

Now you may ask the question what if I reach out to someone to try and correct the problem and they ignore every attempt, what do I do then? Good question! Pray for that person. Lift the situation to God. If they are a true brother or sister in Christ, they will pick up in their spirit that the situation should be corrected. But if they are rebellious or they don’t hear from God, keep lifting them up and God has promised that He will deal with your enemies. In the meantime, keep the situation in the Lord’s hands and He'll take away the pain, He’ll remove the hurt, He’ll give you joy, beauty for ashes, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Look at what the Word said in Matthew 11 verses 28-30

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

We need to let the Lord do a work on us so we can walk in love the way we should. Holding grudges, or ignoring one another for reasons known or unknown, or hating one another will not stand with the Father. Look at this :

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1 John 4:20

God is Love and as His offspring we are expected to act like sons and daughters of the Most High God. Hatred is not born of God so it ought not dwell within us. For greater is He that dwells in us than he that is in the world. The Word said ”love one another as I have loved you.” He also said “freely you have received freely give.”
